Eva Blomqvist

Senior Associate Professor in Computer ScienceLinköping University

Eva’s research focuses on ontologies and Knowledge Graphs for the Semantic Web and explainable AI. An important concept throughout her research career has been the notion of ontology design patterns, analogous to design patterns in software engineering intending to provide support and encode best practices in ontology engineering.
Additionally, Eva has worked on methodologies for ontology engineering, in particular agile methodologies, for constructing applied and industry-driven ontologies. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and has worked on solutions in e-health, security, Circular Economy, and sustainability. Eva is also involved in teaching and has provided education for industries on Knowledge Graphs.
