At the final stage of the Reincarnate project, the consortium came together in Rotterdam for the 8th General Assembly, a moment to review progress and reflect on the journey so far.

Over two days, partners discussed progress, tools, demonstrations, and impact. Alongside these discussions, we asked them to step back and reflect on two questions:
what has Reincarnate changed for us, and what is the one insight we will carry into the future?

The first question was about change. Here, partners spoke about a shift in how they see circular economy, materials, and innovation. Several reflections pointed to the same idea: materials should not be seen simply as waste, but as resources with continued value, and circular construction cannot be advanced by one actor alone.

The second question was about what remains. These answers focused more on what is needed next: better data, clearer methods, stronger coordination across the value chain, and closer links between design, reuse, business models, and implementation. The takeaway was not only what the project showed, but what must continue beyond it.

From these conversations, we created two short video series: three videos on what Reincarnate has changed for us, and three videos on the insights partners will carry into the future.

Filmed in Rotterdam, these videos capture both sides of the project’s legacy:  what changed through Reincarnate, and what will continue after it.
