Reincarnate addresses one of the key challenges of the circular transition in construction: moving innovations from pilot projects into widespread market adoption. Deliverable 4.1 Adoption Pathways for Circular Innovations in the Construction Industry examines how social, economic and organizational factors influence the uptake of circular solutions across the construction value chain.

The report analyses barriers and drivers affecting the adoption of circular innovations, drawing on social science research, stakeholder engagement and empirical evidence from the construction sector. It presents structured adoption pathways that support decision-makers, companies and public actors in accelerating the implementation of circular practices, while addressing issues such as trust, risk perception, market readiness and regulatory constraints.

By translating social-science insights into practical guidance, this deliverable supports more effective scaling of circular innovations and contributes to a systemic transition towards a more resource-efficient built environment.

The deliverable was a joint effort led by Selma Toktas, João Gonçalves and Niharika Parasar (EUR), with contributions from TUB, MOS, 3L, RAS, PLGBC, HUST, ASI and AUS, and reviewed by AUS and ASI.
