As part of Reincarnate’s dissemination activities, Niharika Parasar from Erasmus University Rotterdam participated in the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Annual Conference, held from 13 to 17 July 2025 at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

The 2025 theme, Communicating Environmental Justice: Many Voices, One Planet”, brought together communication scholars, environmental researchers, and policy experts from around the world to examine how public discourse and institutional communication shape sustainability and climate action.

Niharika presented her working paper Agents of Change”, which explores how employees perceive sustainability within their organisations and how these perceptions influence collective environmental engagement. By analysing how sustainability is framed and enacted in everyday workplace communication, her research bridges theory and practice, highlighting the human and cultural dimensions of sustainability transitions.

Her session, attended by around twenty-five participants, opened vibrant discussions on the diversity of sustainability narratives — including feminist, African, and Asian perspectives — often underrepresented in Western research. The conference created a stimulating space for cross-cultural dialogue, reinforcing the role of communication research in driving global environmental and social transformation.
