Reincarnate advances circular renovation strategies by providing a structured decision-making framework for reuse-oriented refurbishment. Deliverable 3.1 – Circular Decision-Making for Adaptive Refurbishment and Renovation of Real Estate Assets offers a practical method for evaluating intervention options, designing reuse scenarios, and selecting product-level end-of-life pathways.
The report presents a three-level process: establishing the direction for intervention, developing circular adaptive-reuse scenarios, and identifying component-level reuse or recycling routes. Supported by a step-by-step framework and upcoming demo-case validation, this guidance helps owners and designers navigate functional obsolescence while reducing construction and demolition waste.

By making renovation decisions more transparent and circular, this deliverable strengthens the foundation for longer-lasting, resource-efficient buildings.
The deliverable was a joint effort led by Brian van Laar (TUD), Angela Greco (TUD), Hilde Remøy (TUD) and Vincent Gruis (TUD), with contributions from TUB, DMO and 3L, and reviewed by TUB and 3L.
