From May 13th to 17th, IFAT Munich 2024 took center stage as the premier global trade fair for water, sewage, waste, and raw materials management. At this international event, our colleagues Lars Nybom and Camilla Sonnentheil, from partner Ragn-Sells (RS), representing the Reincarnate project, seized the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and delve into the latest innovations in environmental technology and recycling.
Bringing together a diverse array of international stakeholders from politics, business, and academia, IFAT Munich 2024 served as a crucial platform for exploring green solutions driving the industry forward. Through thematic stages, live demonstrations, competitions, panel discussions, and spotlight areas, the fair provided a dynamic format for addressing pressing challenges and uncovering opportunities for sustainability in construction and beyond.
The event featured a solutions tour showcasing cutting-edge tools for enhancing waste management efficiency and innovative platforms tailored for businesses and municipalities. These exhibits demonstrated how technology is paving the way for more sustainable practices across industries.
Innovation Manager at RS Lars Nybom expressed his enthusiasm about the experience, emphasizing the significance of their expertise in waste management, environmental services, and recycling, which they brought to the Reincarnate project. “Our visit to the fair offered valuable insights into emerging innovations and closed-loop management systems,” he shared. “It served as a source of inspiration for refining our circular value flow planning model and shaping our contributions towards waste reduction, lifetime extension, adaptive reuse, and recycling solutions.”
IFAT Munich 2024 not only provided a platform for networking and knowledge exchange but also catalyzed the momentum towards a more sustainable future, empowering projects like Reincarnate to make meaningful strides towards circularity.
